Blue Mountains Explorer Bus

The Blue Mountains Explorer Bus operates a hop-on, hop-off service in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains to 29 destinations around Katoomba and Leura, including major attractions, waterfalls and galleries. Buses depart every half hour from Katoomba railway station, where Sydney trains arrive and depart. The frequency of the buses allows you plenty of time to visit all the spectacular highlights on your trip.

A range of passes are available to suit your interests and budget. The Cockatoo Pass includes three major attractions in the Blue Mountains: the Blue Mountains Explorer, Scenic World and the Waradah Australian Centre, as well as a handy guide book and map. Scenic World has three thrilling experiences: the glass-floored Skyway between two cliff tops over a deep gorge, the world’s steepest inclined railway to an ancient rainforest and a cable car ride with spectacular views. At the Waradah Australian Centre you’ll enjoy traditional Aboriginal dance, song and music, including didgeridoo performances. There’s also a gallery containing contemporary indigenous art from around Australia. Buses operate daily from 9.45am.
