Visit The Farm Byron Bay, on the NSW North Coast, which grows and serves its own produce in a farm-to-table dining experience at the Three Blue Ducks Restaurant and Café. It also runs cookery courses and sells its delicious produce.
Fancy a trip back in time on a paddle steamer? On the Echuca Moama Food and Wine Trail you can arrive at a winery aboard a paddle steamer. You’ll find plenty of other things to do along the trail, including dining in heritage buildings, visiting farm gates and tasting wines.

Match the beauty of the NSW landscape with fresh produce, delicious wines and quality restaurants on a dedicated food and wine trail. Join an organised tour or rent a car and follow the routes at your leisure.
Trails include the Hawkesbury Harvest Farm Gate, the Hunter Valley’s Around Hermitage Food and Wine Trail, the Southern Highlands to South Coast trail, and the Poachers Way in the Canberra district.
Other trails are through the Blue Mountains to Orange, Sydney to Mudgee via the Hawkesbury region, the Murray River’s Echuca Moama Trail and Port Macquarie to Byron Bay and Tweed Valley.
The Hawkesbury Harvest Farm Gate trail is ideal for a day tour from Sydney, or as a stepping stone to the Orange or Mudgee wine regions. Pick your own fruit at some farms along the way.
One of many highlights on the Blue Mountains to Orange trail is The Lookout Echo Point restaurant, near Katoomba, which has spectacular views of the World Heritage-listed mountains. Sample wines and more stunning views at De Salis family winery in Orange. Enjoy the restaurants in pretty Millthorpe nearby.
In the Hunter Valley, a day trip from Sydney, the Around Hermitage Wine and Food trail includes visits to the region’s top wineries. Stop at Tyrrell’s Wines, established in 1858, for the iconic Vat 1 Hunter Semillon, and enjoy lunch at Bistro Molines.
The NSW South Coast is famous for seafood; drive the Oyster Coast for freshly shucked oysters and buy from artisan food producers in pretty towns. Stop at Cupitt’s Winery for estate grown beef, handmade cheese, and beer and wine made on site.
On the North Coast, near Port Macquarie, enjoy freshly roasted macadamias at the Lorne Valley Macadamia Farm and pick your own rosy red tomatoes and strawberries at Ricardoes.
